Author Guidelines

1. General Information

The International Journal of Mathematics Learning, Problem Solving, and Technology welcomes original research articles, review papers, and conceptual studies related to mathematics education, mathematical problem solving, and the integration of technology in learning.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.


2. Scope of Submission

The journal accepts manuscripts in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Mathematics Teaching and Learning

  • Mathematical Problem Solving

  • Technology-Enhanced Learning in Mathematics

  • STEM Education

  • Curriculum Development in Mathematics

  • Assessment and Evaluation in Mathematics Education

  • Innovation and Digital Tools in Mathematics Instruction

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.

Length

  • Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words

  • Review Articles: 4,000–7,000 words

Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Page numbers included


4. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Title (concise and informative)

  2. Abstract (150–250 words)

  3. Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review (if applicable)

  6. Methodology

  7. Results

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion

  10. Acknowledgments (optional)

  11. References


5. Citation and Referencing Style

The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition).

In-text citation examples:

  • Single author: (Smith, 2020)

  • Two authors: (Johnson & Lee, 2021)

  • Three or more authors: (Brown et al., 2022)

Reference list examples:

Journal Article:
Smith, J. A. (2020). Improving problem-solving skills in mathematics classrooms. Journal of Mathematics Education, 15(2), 120–135. https://doi.org/xxxxx

Book:
Johnson, R. (2019). Technology integration in mathematics education. Springer.

Book Chapter:

All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.


6. Tables, Figures, and Equations

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.

  • Each table and figure must include a clear caption.

  • Images must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

  • Mathematical equations should be editable (use Equation Editor).


7. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is free from plagiarism.

  • Proper acknowledgment of sources is provided.

  • Ethical approval is obtained for research involving human participants.

  • All authors have approved the final manuscript.

The journal may use plagiarism detection software to screen submissions.


8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to:

  • Register as an author

  • Complete all required metadata

  • Upload the manuscript file

  • Confirm compliance with submission requirements

Incomplete submissions will not be processed.


9. Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content to support the global exchange of knowledge.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Please ensure that:

☐ The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

☐ The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

☐ The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines, including formatting, structure, and referencing style (APA 7th Edition).

☐ The manuscript file has been anonymized for double-blind peer review (all author names, affiliations, and identifying information have been removed).

☐ The title, abstract (150–250 words), and 3–5 keywords are included.

☐ All tables, figures, and equations are properly numbered and include captions.

☐ All references cited in the text are included in the reference list and formatted according to APA 7th Edition.

☐ The manuscript is free from plagiarism and properly acknowledges all sources.

☐ Ethical approval has been obtained for research involving human participants (if applicable).

☐ The author(s) agree to the journal’s copyright and open access policy.
